Unseen Beauty
This collection of artworks explores the relationship between beauty and the pleasure we feel through our five senses.
We have been given the five senses (hearing, sight, smell, taste and touch) to broaden the depth and texture of our life experiences.
They give us physical pleasure, and grant us the infinite ability to experience the uniqueness of our world in ways that are true, beautiful and profound.
The more awakened our senses are to the spiritual, the more we can enrich our souls on this quest we call life.
Just as the external physical senses are the vehicle for experiencing and describing our human life, the spiritual senses can open us to the awareness and role of all that lies beyond the visible.
This collection is an invitation to contemplate on how the hidden wisdom of the five senses can enrich us and draw us closer to the invisible beauty of our lives.
“Listen from the Heart”
92 x 92 cm
“There is a voice that doesn’t use words. Listen”. - Rumi
When you lose yourself in the beauty of a song, you stop listening with your ears and you begin to listen with your heart. As the sound of melody, rhythm and words washes over you, your whole being relaxes, and you drift into an unexpected moment of peace. The lightness of this presence comes alive and overflows into the otherwise ordinary daily life.
“Lens of Eternity”
80 x 80 cm
“For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal”. - Jeri Smith-Ready
When the heart grows into its ability to love unconditionally, we begin to see things differently. Our spiritual sight opens, and we can see all the beauty that is unseen due to the limited capacity of our physical sight. Infinite love is about feeling and seeing the connections in life—all life. Love is like an invisible umbilical cord weaving the interconnectedness of all life and holding us together in the beauty of the One.
“Taste of Blue Paradise”
92 x 92 cm
“Once you have tasted the taste of sky, you will forever look up”. - Leonardo Da Vinci
Taste is perhaps the most intimate experience, in which we willingly trust to accept something into our inner beings. Through acceptance, we allow an ocean of sensations to pour tastes of love and pleasure into our hearts and nourish our souls.
“One Touch”
150 x 120 cm
“For one moment, our lives met, our souls touched”. - Oscar Wilde
The sense of touch holds a profound place in our human existence. I find that, of all five senses, touch is where the physical and spiritual converge the most. If our hearts have been “touched” by the scent of attraction, we instantly feel drawn to move close to be immersed in it, to be enveloped, to be touched. Through touch, we are unified in our inmost selves, and we are truly connected to the ecstatic, expansive experience of oneness.
